Judy
DePue began her professional career in the field of art in the
mid 1970's as a public school art teacher. When her children were
young, she turned her artistic talents to landscaping design projects
and began the company called New Vistas in the early 80's.
As her company
and clientele grew, she began selling and delivering plants to
her design clients by 1983.
Next came part time and then full time installation crews.
And in 1987, New Vistas Landscaping moved to its current
location on Wilden Avenue in Goshen near the Greene Road
crossing of US 33.
1992 was the year Judy
became a certified designer with the Association of Professional
Landscape Designers. Having participated on the
national/international Board of Directors for this organization
for a total of 9 years, she served as the 1200 member organization’s
president in 2006. At the summer 2008 conference for APLD, Judy
was awarded the title of “Fellow” of the organization
for her years of service to the organization.
Judy and her
staff over the years at New Vistas, have designed both for do-it-yourselfer
clients and for clients where her company does all the installation.
They even do a "share install" process.
New Vistas
specializes in creating unique designs based around each separate
clients needs and wishes. Their
clients range
from individual families, to churches, schools, and
other non-profit
organizations as well as businesses.
Judy hopes
that her designs continue to grow and look pleasing for
at least
20 years as
she and her company strive to make this world a
better place to live in and bring some of God's beauty into
the every
day lives of our community.
